We are a Christian family from Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, who moved to the U.S. and have been sharing our artisan olive wood products across Arizona for over 20 years. In 1950, Christians made up 86% of Bethlehem's population. By 2016, that number had dwindled to just 12%, according to the National Catholic Reporter. Today, Christians are less than 2% of the population in the Holy Land.
This decline is not just a statistic; it's a loss of heritage. The tradition of carving olive wood has been passed down through generations, but many artisans are now leaving due to economic hardship and instability. Every purchase of our handcrafted pieces helps support Christian artisans, allowing them to continue their work and sustain their families in the Holy Land.
By choosing our art, you're not just bringing a piece of the Holy Land into your home; you're also acquiring unique religious gifts while standing with a community that has been the heart of Christianity for centuries. Your support helps preserve a living tradition and ensures that the light of Bethlehem continues to shine.
